The Commission for Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information aims to protect and enjoy of the constitutionally guaranteed right to free access to information, through efficient and independent implementation of the appeal procedure, by informing the public, continuous education of information holders, as well as taking measures to improve the legal framework, especially in the area of promotion and encouragement of transparency and openness of information holders for comprehensive information of citizens.

The Commission should continue to be recognized by the holders, applicants and the general public as a basic institution for exercising the right to free access to public information, which contributes to increased accountability and transparency in the society.
